Good Shepherd Pasalubong Items from Baguio

I’ve mentioned that we went on a 5-day vacation last December and one of our destinations was Baguio, the summer capital of the Philippines. I love Baguio, not only because of the climate, but because of all the pasalubong shopping I can do for us and my friends back home.

Before our lunch at Oh My Gulay Artist Cafe along Session Road, we went to Good Shepherd in Baguio to buy some pasalubong items that were requested by friends, particularly my blogger friend Eihdra. 😀

The Good Shepherd Convent is located along Gibraltar Road, near Mines View Park in Baguio. The Good Shepherd nuns make and sell different kinds of pasalubong items which are very popular among tourists / visitors in Baguio.

I super love this particular sign at their garden, right when you enter their premises.

Take nothing but photos. Leave nothing but goodness. Keep nothing but memories…

They’ve got photos and prices of different products they sell just outside the cashier area. There are pens and pieces of paper on a table so customers can already take their picks as to what they’re going to buy before lining up at the counter.

They’ve got around 6 cashier counters so you don’t have to worry about lining up for too long. Well, unless there are some who haven’t decided yet what they’re going to buy.

The prices of Good Shepherd’s products are a little.. okay, they’re a bit pricey. Just consider this, as written on the cover of the Ube Jam we bought. It’s for charity! 🙂

What did we buy? 3 bottles of Ube Jam (12 oz, Php 140 each plus a 24-oz bottle at Php 250). We also bought Mango Jam (8oz, Php 95), Blueberry Jam (Php 105) and Pili Nuts (candied, salted, etc.). I forgot how much those pili nuts were but I think they were at Php 120 each. You also have to go to the other store, near the comfort rooms, to buy the pili nuts.

Out of all we bought, I only enjoyed the Ube Jam and Pili Nuts. The mango and blueberry jams were too sweet for me that I only got to enjoy like a pinch of each. I highly recommend the Ube Jam if you haven’t tasted it yet. It’s so creamy and not too sweet. I loved it! I wished we bought like 2 more of their 24-oz bottle. But, it was just too expensive. 😀

Good Shepherd also sells these breads at their takeout counter just across the cashiers. We bought 2 of each of their siopao, adobo roll and empanada chicken.

I enjoyed all of them, particularly their siopao. Make sure to eat them while they’re warm so the bread would feel like it’s melting in your mouth.
