Whenever my bro and I see a World Chicken stall, may it be in Trinoma, Gateway Mall or in Glorietta, we can’t help but wrestle with the idea of ordering their oh-so tender grilled chicken. If not for our hunger for something new to feature on this blog, we would’ve eaten there every time (I guess that’s something we’re actually thankful for :D). In fact, my bro loved them so much that they were the inspiration behind his Creamy Pesto Pasta and Grilled Chicken recipe.
Ken’s pesto pasta is WAY more delicious than World Chicken’s,
but the ingredients are a li’l on the expensive side.
What is it about World Chicken that makes it one of our favorites? That’s a question that’s pretty easy to answer – it’s the tenderness of the flame-grilled boneless chicken they serve that’s very moist, and the wide variety of options for sauces, carbohydrates, and side dishes, PLUS affordability.
We got this flier from their Gateway Mall branch, explaining why a lot of people are flocking their branches in Glorietta and Trinoma.
- Fresh tomatoes used on their pasta sauces.
- Real potatoes with bacon bits on their potato salad, based on the photo.
- 9 different sauces to choose from.
- Freshly flame-grilled boneless chicken.
I can’t really argue with anything they have on there ’cause it’s true. Ken has tried their pasta with tomato-based sauce and he agrees. And, how can you possibly argue when you see people ready to line up, no matter how long they have to wait, just to order from World Chicken?
Everytime you dine at World Chicken, you can have different flavor combinations because of the many choices they offer.
For your carbo serving, you can choose between rice (Garlic, Bacon Fried, Japanese, Espanyol) or pasta (Asian noodles, Spaghetti Pomodoro, Pesto Cream, Fettuccine Al Tono).
Other choices for side dishes are Mashed Potatoes, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Cheese Muffin, or Fried Banana.
For sauces for your grilled chicken, you can order Taragon, Teriyaki, Mornay Cheese, regular gravy, Sweet Chili, Ranch BBQ, Corn and Mushroom, and Farm-fresh Mushroom sauces.
If you order just 1 siding, you only pay Php 132.00; for 2 sides, Php 158.00. You only have to add Php 22 for a Coca-cola drink. VERY affordable prices considering the hefty servings you get of the chicken, carbo and sides.
My platter from their Glorietta branch
Last time we dined at World Chicken, we were in Gateway Mall in Cubao. We were helping a friend look for a new netbook. She was thinking about doing it over the web, like to shop online at The Source for Samsung netbooks, but she wanted to feel it before she actually pays for anything. 😀
Here’s my plate of food. I didn’t realize I ordered the same thing I did the last time we were at World Chicken. 😀 Okay, the sauce may be different, but the side and pasta was the same – Pesto Cream and Potato Salad. Talk about carbo overload! 😀
My bro loves mixing and matching, so you’d find him with new platter variations everytime.
This is Eihdra’s plate when we last dined in Glorietta. She ordered Fettuccine and macaroni salad.
Though their Pesto Cream isn’t as good as my bro’s or the one we tried at Fazoli’s in Eastwood, I still enjoy it and we HIGHLY recommend you try World Chicken, especially when you usually dine out on a budget. So, we’re giving them 5 smileys.

For the Love of Tender, Moist Chicken
i only order 1 siding since it’s so big to finish if I get two 🙂 haha.. asian noodles or pomodoro + chicken w/ ranch sauce!
I’m super takaw kaya I order two hahaha. Haven’t tried their Asian noodles yet. Might do so next time. 🙂
I’ve tried World Chicken a couple of years though it didn’t leave a mark. But my brother loves it, too. The pics look tempting enough. Maybe I ought to try it again, I could have just made a not so good combo before. 🙂
Probably. The pesto wasn’t as good as the one my bro prepares so I’d probably skip that next time. But, the chicken and their sauces are really good.
And thanks for the comment on the pics. I try. ^_^
