It may not be the perfect weather for something cold, but I find myself craving for Fruits in Ice Cream’s Yogurt Ice Cream. No, it’s not frozen yogurt. I mean, it’s not just frozen yogurt. It’s yogurt ice cream.
Fruits in Ice Cream (FIC) recently introduced their new product – Yogurt Ice Cream. This is in response to those who would love to take home the same health benefits from pro-biotics we get from a serving of soft-served frozen yogurt, and the creamy goodness of ice cream.
During the launch at The Ice Cream Bar in Rockwell, we all got a taste of their Lemon Crumble Yogurt Ice Cream, their first flavor for this new creation.
I enjoyed my serving of this yogurt ice cream and I was glad we got to take home 2 pints of it. All of us at home loved it! Very creamy and the lemon flavor added this citrusy delight that really had me craving for more.
I love frozen yogurt and we’ve been scouring the Metro for more froyo stores. Now, I can buy FIC Yogurt Ice Cream and take them home for my family to enjoy.
By the way, I just have to mention this, during the launch, we met the food scientist behind this new creation, Rosalinda “Osang” Custodio (that’s her second to the left in the photo below), the Chairperson and Technical Director of FIC. She explained to us how and why they came up with the Lemon Crumble Yogurt Ice Cream. She said lemon has this natural flavor that matches the taste of yogurt. It actually masks the tarty and sourness of the yogurt in the ice cream, one of the main reasons why my mother loved the pints I took home.
Jose Celdran, the CEO of The Food People Inc., also shared with us some tidbits about how FIC’s yogurt is different from other soft-served froyos out there. They may look and feel the same, but FIC is proud to claim that their yogurt is locally made and the pro-biotics were naturally produced or created during fermentation.
They truly made me look at frozen yogurt in a different way. Very informative discussions. They know what they’re talking about and what their company and product stand for. 🙂
Oh, also, if you haven’t been to The Ice Cream Bar in Rockwell, you’d be happy to know that they also serve savory dishes here. Over lunch, we were served Macho Nacho (with beef, cheese, chili con carne and creamy white cheese), Cheese Sticks Pesto and Crunchy Chicken Bacon Roulette with Flaming Gambasetti on the side.
Of course, we didn’t miss tasting their milkshakes. I absolutely love the chocolate and avocado we ordered. Super creamy, milky and thick, just the way I like it. 🙂
I usually just go to FIC for their ice cream and now it’s great to know that they have other items on their menu that I’d love to try again. And, of course, I want another pint or gallon of that FIC Yogurt Ice Cream! 😀
This is another reason for me to keep on coming back for my serving of FIC frozen delights.
