Quench Your Thirst with J.CO Beverages + New Donuts to Love!

by | Oct 5, 2012 | 13 comments

We gushed and told you how much we love J.CO donuts. It’s not just about how yummy their donuts are, but it’s more on the creativity behind each flavor they offer. So, it was not surprising that they’re maintaining this level of uniqueness with their beverage concoctions. J.CO Donuts and Coffee is here to prove that, truly, they’re not your usual donut place. 🙂

The delicious delights of J.CO Wonderland

Excited to try their beverages and the other donut flavors I haven’t tasted yet, my nanay and I trooped to their nearest branch – Trinoma. There was a long line of people inside, which, quite frankly, discouraged me. There were about 15 people in front of me and it took about 45 minutes to an hour before I finally got my turn. Everyone was ordering like 2-3 dozens each! 😀

Sadly, many of the donut flavors and the beverages I wanted initially were no longer available when I got to the counter. So, I opted to order their Iced Thai Tea. Good thing I was able to convince my nanay to try the Cafe Avocado. I wanted the Cappuccino Avocado, but for some reason, it wasn’t available.

Anyway, if you think that the combination of avocado, coffee and chocolate is plain weird, you’d be surprised. It was delightful! Made me wish they were still serving Cappuccino Avocado when we were there ’cause I’m sure it’ll have a more intense kick of avocado. We’ll come back next time for that, probably on a weekday when there’s a shorter queue.

The Iced Thai Tea, by the way, was so refreshing and light. I even caught my nanay sipping away while I was taking photos of the donuts we ordered. 😀

There are many options for you to choose from for your beverage at J.CO Donuts and Coffee. Just look at their menu (click to zoom):

J.Coffee Blends

If you need a caffeine fix, you can choose among 3 J.Coffee blends: Jcoccino (J.CO’s very own cappuccino blend, Cappuccino Avocado and Cafe Avocado.

If you can’t handle coffee, no worries. You can go for their Iced Thai Tea (like I did – it’s J.CO’s yummy milk tea), Green Tea Frappe (will definitely try this one too!), Strawberry Yogurt Frappe (Ken will love this!) and Mixberry Yogurt Frappe.

For yogurt lovers, J.CO also thought of you when they came up with their own yogurt mixes: J.COOL (single serving pictured below) and J.COOL Twist (sundae-like, with toppings upon toppings on each layer).

With the wide array of choices, I’m sure there’s one beverage that will perfectly complement your J.CO donuts. And speaking of donuts, we got to try 5 new flavors – Mona Pisa, Forest Glam, Snow White, Mr. Green Tea and Crunchy Crunchy!

New J.CO Donut flavors!

(Pardon the photo quality. I took them using my S3 to test the resolution)

I instantly fell in love with the Mona Pisa, the savory one. It’s a pizza donut, with bits of meat over creamy cheese and tomato sauce. There’s a slight sweetness to the sauce, which I’m sure most Pinoys will enjoy.

I wanted to taste J.Club Cheezy Rich, but they already ran out. They didn’t even have J.Pops available. *sigh* This is Crunchy Crunchy. Nanay LOVED it! 🙂

I’m looking forward to dropping by their Trinoma store again to taste Oreology, Cheese Me Up, Avocado Dicaprio, Berry Spears, Copa Banana, Mango Blitz, Donna Italiano and Blueberry More. Oh, I’m so loving their donut flavor names! 😀

How about you? What’s your favorite J.CO Donut flavor and beverage?

Avocado? I refuse to be surprised anymore. Americans think we’re weird for using it in sweets and desserts. We think they’re weird for putting it in their burgers and hotdogs.

I find the combination of avocado, coffee and chocolate intriguing when I first heard of it. Avocado or guacamole on burgers or hotdogs, I love! 🙂

Yeah, I watch a lot of food and cooking tv series kasi in the US – Top Chef more importantly. Now, I’m addicted to Anthony Bourdain’s series, plus the Food Unwrapped series from the UK. I wish we’ll have more series here in the PH to educate us more about where our food comes from.

The Avocado Cappuccino sounds awesome (and I don’t even like avocados to begin with)! Hope they have an express line for “drinks only”. =)

That’s a wonderful idea! I would love that! Or maybe a line for those who are ordering just single or a couple of donuts and not dozens. 🙂

I’ve always wondered why there’s often a long line of customers in J.CO in MOA. I mean, it’s just donuts. But this post made me want to try some of their foods/drinks. Cafe Avocado sounds yummy. 🙂

In my opinion, they’re still struggling with keeping up with the demand. They need more people, bigger stores with larger area for baking and preparing donuts.

Sayang eh. People get discouraged from buying from them because of the long lines.
